Funky House Mix

My first mix CD, mainly consisting of tunes I was playing at Ha! Ha! Bar and Toffs during my final summer living in York. Recorded as a bit of a nostalga trip around the Christmas of that year, shortly after my dual CD players at the time decided to catch fire. (Note to self: allow sufficient ventilation around 19" rack gear in future!)

TECH SPECS:  Format: mp3 | Encoder: LAME 3.98 | Bitrate: 128kbps ABR | Filesize: 68.1MB | Source: 12" | BPM: 131

Apparently one of my former student radio colleagues (who is now at Radio Five Live) played this in its entirety while setting up for an outside broadcast at Roses 2006 (the annual York vs. Lancaster university sports tournament). A passing student asked "is this HedKandi?" and was told "no, it's Tim Bateson!". I see his point, though.

These mixes are intended to demonstrate my skills as a live DJ and the type of music I play, rather than to offer an alternative to purchasing the music featured. This is reflected in the low bitrate with which the files are encoded.
